Facts about Mice and Rats that are Important to Know

Mice and rats can steal your food, chew through electrical wiring or even carry disease. These pests come into our homes as they search out environments that have access to water and food–they’re omnivores so their survival relies on fruits/seeds plus other items such as faeces (from humans), meat etc., which is why we need an effective control strategy!

Rats and mice, cause spread pathogens that lead to serious diseases such as lymphocytic choriomeningitis which generally affects people with weakened immune systems. This disease can lead to headaches, fever, and meningitis.

Rodents need to find a way of staying warm during winter periods. They have no natural ability or habit of hibernating, so they become more active and exploratory as time goes on in hopes that something will give them energy for survival until next year’s cycle begins again. Rodent species such as rats and mice can survive for a while without food (though this varies depending on the type), but their lifespan is increased significantly when living indoors with support systems like houses or buildings around them.
